Camping Pods

In 2015, we installed five Camping Pods on the farm. The pods are a new diversification enterprise and were set up by our daughter Jo Bradford - inspired by a trekking trip to Nepal in 2011 where the overnight stops along the route were based in traditional tea houses.

Each rustic pod is ark-shaped, timber clad and designed to sleep four adults comfortably in bunk beds. The pods provide basic, affordable, year round accommodation for campers, glampers and outdoor enthusiasts whatever the weather. They are nestled in a pretty green glade within easy access of free hot showers and washroom facilities.

The Camping Pods are charged from £40.00 per pod per night between April and October and £35.00 per pod per night between November and March.

The Farmhouse Kitchen can provide breakfast, pack lunches and evening meals for groups of eight or more guests (to be booked in advance) and there are lots of good pubs fairly nearby.

Well behaved dogs are welcome. All dogs must be kept on leads around stock, horses and camping neighbours.

In the coming years we hope to work with other farms across the National Park so visitors can trek, cycle or horse-ride from pod site to pod site, taking advantage of the extensive network of footpaths, trails and bridleways that criss-cross the spectacular scenery of Dartmoor. Secure storage for road and mountain bikes provided, paddocks for ponies and dry storage available on request.
